Our Origin

Originally created by Zaf Ansari, an industry expert and professional makeup lecturer with decades of experience educating artists across the UK, SUPERCOVER was designed to meet the highest demands of the stage, screen and studio. A partnership built on purpose
The story of SUPERCOVER began in 1995, when professional makeup artist Zaf Ansari joined forces with his wife Najma after she opened her first beauty salon in South London. Together, they blended creative vision with a shared passion for inclusivity and high-performance coverage. They set out to develop makeup that truly reflected the diversity of real skin tones — laying the foundation for a brand that would challenge beauty norms and empower every face.
